WHAT IS THE RESCUEBAG S-2-S LIGHT · 01
The RescueBag S-2-S LIGHT is the simplified, extra-light version of the "slide-to-save" drag system developed in Switzerland by retter.ch GmbH from Gränichen. The LIGHT is designed for buildings such as offices, hotels, schools and other buildings, where immediate action is required in an emergency. The outer layer consists of a blended fabric in accordance with EN 532 and withstands brief exposure up to 500°C (manufacturer’s specification). At 4.8 kg, the LIGHT is the lightest version in the range; rolled up it measures Ø 20 × 72 cm and is ready for use in 30 seconds. Two people suffice: the sliding surface on the underside reduces friction so strongly that lifting is not needed.
Rolled out.
Ready in 30 sec.
The RescueBag is stored rolled up (Ø 20 × 72 cm) and rolled out next to the person. Hook-and-loop closure. No assembly, no extra material.

Four properties
that count.
Two responders
Two people operate the RescueBag together: one at the head, one at the feet. Lifting is not needed, so the work requires less manpower than a stretcher.
30 seconds
The person is placed in the LIGHT, the hook-and-loop fasteners are closed and the evacuation can begin. No complex setup or assembly.
Extra light, 4.8 kg
The LIGHT version is the lightest in the range (4.8 kg, Ø 20 cm). Compact to store in buildings and immediately at hand where seconds count.
Intuitive to use
Designed for ERT members without specialist training. Intended for Emergency Response Teams in buildings.
Four actions,
thirty seconds.
Open
The responder takes the RescueBag and rolls it out next to the person to be evacuated. The bag is opened by folding back the top.
Place the person
The person is rolled or slid onto the RescueBag from the side, without lifting. The sliding underside helps a person lying down slide directly onto the bag.
Close the hook-and-loop fasteners
The top is folded over the person. The hook-and-loop fasteners prevent shifting, even during vertical evacuation via stairs.
Activate the drag handle
The s-2-s sliding system drastically reduces friction: two responders thus move a person without excessive effort.

With two.
Down the stairs.
The slide-to-save sliding system drastically reduces the friction force. Two responders move a person in a controlled way through a stairwell, without lifting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS · 06
What is the RescueBag S-2-S LIGHT?
The S-2-S LIGHT is the simplified, extra-light version of the RescueBag: a passive drag aid with which two people evacuate someone from a building without lifting. The LIGHT weighs 4.8 kg, is Ø 20 × 72 cm rolled up and ready for use in 30 seconds.
Who is the LIGHT version intended for?
For buildings where immediate action is required in an emergency: offices, hotels, schools and businesses. Operation is intuitive: the S-2-S LIGHT is designed for ERT members without specialist training.
How many people are needed to evacuate someone?
Two people: one at the head, one at the feet. The slide-to-save sliding system reduces the pulling force so strongly that lifting is not needed, even via a stairwell.
How does the LIGHT differ from the PRO and the MEDICAL?
The LIGHT is the lightest, simplest and most cost-effective version, intended for buildings and rapid deployment without specialist training. It is intended for single, limited use and is not Force-compatible. The S-2-S PRO is the reinforced, maximally heat-resistant version for fire brigades and defence. The S-2-S MEDICAL is fluid-resistant and cleanable for ERT, buildings and facilities management.
What is the LIGHT made of?
Of a blended fabric in accordance with EN 532, which withstands brief exposure up to 500°C (manufacturer’s specification). The hook-and-loop fasteners are positioned at 90° relative to each other for secure fixation and optimal force distribution during transport.
How is the LIGHT stored?
Rolled up, the LIGHT measures Ø 20 × 72 cm and weighs 4.8 kg. Compact enough for a wall on every floor, a cabinet or a vehicle. Optionally, a wall cover (Wallcover) is available for direct access in buildings.
Where is the RescueBag already used?
The RescueBag has been in use since 2015 by professional emergency services in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
