Videos: how the RescueBag works in practice

Five short videos show how two responders use the RescueBag S-2-S to evacuate a non-ambulatory person, without lifting: from the moment the rolled-up bag comes out to dragging the person to a safe location.

Each video runs 12 to 18 seconds and plays without sound. The on-screen text explains what happens; in videos 1 to 4 that text is in Dutch. Below, you can read what each video shows and what to look out for.

Video 1 · S-2-S PRO with Roll-Fix Fire and Bag-Fix

The rescue is already on your back

With the Roll-Fix Fire and Bag-Fix accessories, the rolled-up S-2-S PRO hangs on the breathing apparatus. The crew going in already carries the RescueBag. If they find someone who can no longer get out on their own, nobody has to go back to the vehicle first.

  • Rolled up on the breathing apparatus
  • Released and unrolled on the spot
  • Two responders drag, nobody lifts

Video 2 · step by step, in slow motion

How it works, in four steps

This video follows a deployment in four steps, slowed down so you can see every action.

  1. Grab: the rolled-up RescueBag comes out of the vehicle.
  2. Unroll: next to the person, on the ground.
  3. Close: the person is placed on the bag and the hook-and-loop fasteners are closed.
  4. Drag: two responders move the person to a safe location.

The RescueBag closes with hook-and-loop fasteners as standard; buckles are optional. A fuller explanation is on How it works.

Video 3 · for your own crew too

Are you prepared?

A RescueBag is not only for the person you find during a deployment. If a colleague from your own crew goes down, it works exactly the same way: unroll, person in, and drag instead of lift.

With the Roll-Fix Fire and Bag-Fix on the breathing apparatus, the RescueBag is there when it is needed, for your own crew as well.

Video 4 · evacuation over stairs

Over stairs too

A stairwell is often the hardest way out. With the RescueBag, two responders bring the person down the stairs in a controlled way, without lifting. The S-2-S sliding system glides over the steps.

  • Flat floor, slope or stairs
  • Through narrow corridors too
  • Always with two responders
Video 5 · short edit of a training exercise

In action

An edit of four shots: the rolled-up RescueBag comes along, is unrolled, and two responders drag the person away over gravel, out of a fire-hazardous environment to a safe location.

This is a training exercise; the bag holds a training mannequin.
