How it works · 02
Ready for evacuation
in 4 steps.
The RescueBag is built to be fast and simple to use. Two responders can have a non-ambulatory or unconscious person ready for evacuation in 30 seconds. No assembly, no extra equipment, no complicated procedure.

Four actions,
thirty seconds.

Open
The responder picks up the RescueBag and unrolls it next to the person to be evacuated. The bag opens by folding back the top section.

Place person
The person is rolled or slid onto the RescueBag from the side, without lifting. The sliding underside helps a person lying down slide directly onto the bag.

Close the hook-and-loop fasteners
The top section folds over the person. The hook-and-loop fasteners keep them from shifting, even during vertical evacuation via stairs.

Activate slide
The S-2-S slide system makes dragging possible without lifting strain for the responder.
The principle · 04
Slide-to-save —
a fraction of the pulling force.
The core of the RescueBag is the S-2-S (slide-to-save) system. The underside of the evacuation bag has a specialised slide surface that keeps the coefficient of friction against the floor low.
In practice, two responders drag the person across the floor, without lifting. Over stairs, two responders bring the person down in a controlled way.
Comparison · 05
One device
for every scenario.
An evacuation chair needs the person to be able to sit, so it is no use for unconscious persons. An evacuation mattress is heavy (8–15 kg) and usually needs two people. A stretcher needs at least two carriers, ideally four.
The RescueBag combines the upsides: it works for persons who cannot sit or stand, is operated by 2 persons, is light (5.8 kg), compact (Ø 26 cm) and (S-2-S PRO) heat-resistant to 300°C. Horizontal evacuation, vertical evacuation via stairs, deployment at fires — one device.
